Mrs. Mamie Frances Lowery, 63, Obituary

Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia - Mrs. Mamie Frances Lowery, 63, of Savannah, went home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2005.

Mrs. Lowery was an expert seamstress that ran her own business at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army for many years. She loved her family, the church and singing in the church choir. She was a member for the past 14 years at Bible Church here in Savannah. Mrs. Lowery's beautiful smile will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years Hackie Lowery of Savannah; a son, Keith Lowery of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Dennis Clark of Conyers, GA; five grandchildren, Amanda, Cory and Morgan Clark, Zackery and Alyson Lowery; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Clark; her mother, Monte Box of Kennesaw, GA; three sisters, Sue Barfield of Thomaston, GA, Sandra Brown of Alamo, GA, Kathay Walters of Kennesaw, GA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2005 at Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service: 10 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Hubbard officiating.

Burial: 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Vidalia, GA.

Ms. Edith Odom, 82, Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Ms. Edith Odom, 82, of Cobbtown Rd., died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Bethany Nursing Center after a brief illness.

She was a native of Emanuel County but resided in Toombs County most of her life. Ms. Odom was a bookkeeper for Lyons T.V. Center and Western Union for many years and a member of the new Beginnings Church of God.

Ms. Odom was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Odom and a daughter, Melinda Meeks.

Survivors are a son Benny Ray Odom and his wife, Lucille of Lyons; one daughter, Judith Allen and her husband, Bill of Lyons; two brothers, Otis Farmer, Jr. of Lyons, Noah Farmer of Higgston, and step brother, W. R. Meeks of Cocoa, FL; one sister, Modury Partin of Johnson Corner, and one step-sister, Sally Tyson of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandsons, Marc Meeks of Lyons, Kipper Odom of Peach Tree City, Scott Allen and Benjie Allen both of Lyons; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2005 in the Chapel of Jones Stewart Funeral Home in Lyons with Rev. Owen Waters and Rev. Larry Gooden officiating.

Interment will follow in the Odom Cemetery in Lyons.
