Mrs. Emma Bernice Grier, 95, Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Mrs. Emma Bernice Grier, age 95, died Saturday night May 28, in The Bethany Nursing Center of Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mrs. Grier was a native of Evans County and had resided most of her life in Vidalia. She was a homemaker and was retired from Rosebud Manufacturing Company of Vidalia. In 2002 she was crowned Mrs. Bethany Home and went on to be crowned Mrs. Georgia Nursing home in Atlanta in 2003. She was a member of Olney Primative Baptist Church in Oak Park.

Mrs. Grier is survived by one daughter, Emalyn Hutcheson of Savannah; four sons, Edward Grier and Joel Grier of Vidalia, Elivyn Grier of Titusville, Florida and Billy Grier of Dahlonega; one sister, Lois Turner of Perry Florida; ten children and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service for Mrs. Emma Bernice Grier will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, May 31, at 2:00 p.m. from The Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Elder Mickey Durden and Rev. Murray Ward officiating.

Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to The Bethany Nursing Center.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
