Mrs. Elise Ansley, 85, Obituary

(1921-May 20, 2006)

Collins, Tattnall County, Georgia - Mrs. Elise Ansley, 85, died Saturday at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

The Toombs County native lived most of her life in Tattnall County. In her early years she was a member of Hardens Chapel Baptist Church where she met her husband Greely Ansley, who passed away in 1997. She was a homemaker and a pioneer on their farm being a wonderful soulmate, helpmate and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Robert Eugene Ansley and a grandson, Jerry Lee Jarriel.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Fredna Ansley of Collins; daughter, Meletta Boyette and Jerome Jarriel of Collins; four grandchildren, Dallen Ansley, Greg Jarriel, Denna Oliver and Darren Ansley; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel with burial in the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Frederick Henschen, 75, Obituary

Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia - Mr. Frederick Henschen, "The Ole Box Man", 75, of 6456 US Highway #1 Lyons, died Friday morning May 19, 2006 at Meadows Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.

Mr. Henschen was a native of New York, moving to St. Augustine, Florida, and then to Toombs County. He was in Retail Sales and a Box Man, a veteran of the Marine Corp., serving in the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart, also serving 13 yrs. in the Navy and Air Force Reserves. He loved the outdoors and his yard work.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Henschen of Lyons. Mr. Henschen is survived by one daughter, Gina Henschen of Atlanta, one sister, Islia Hendricks and her husband David of Charlotteville, Virginia, seven stepchildren, O'Lendia and her husband Terry of St. Louis Missouri, Robert Graves and his wife Naomi, of Chesterville, Virginia, Mike Staines and his wife Kim, of Huntsville Ala., Tracy Michelle Cross and her husband Aurther, Soddy Daisy Tenn., Harold Myers Jasckson, of Moultrie, Ga., Benjamin Wilbourn, Perry Florida, Robby Sanders of Tallahassee Florida, 13 step grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening, from 7-9 p.m., with the Rev. Rick Wilson and Rev. LeQuire officiating.

Funeral services for Frederick Henschen will be conducted, Monday May 22, 2006 at 3:00 p.m., from the Freewill Baptist Church. of Lyons. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Lyons Free Will Baptist Church, 318 S. 10th. St., Lyons.

Annie Pearl Nobles, 71, Obituary

Vidalia, Toombs County, Georgia - Annie Pearl Nobles, 71, died Friday.

Survivors: sons, Randall (Reba) Nobles and Tony (Linnice) Nobles; daughter, Linda (Mark) Nobles Quigley and other relatives.

Funeral was held 3 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia.

Interment: Lyons City Cemetery.
